Rebecca (Hebda) McNamara grew up in Yankton, South Dakota and began her dance training at the Academy of Dance under the direction of Dorota Dannenbring. She began training in classical ballet and over the years expanded her training to include character, tap, modern, jazz, and pointe.
Rebecca has performed in many classical ballets including; The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, and Coppelia. Rebecca danced as a member of the LiRa Dance Theater Company under the direction of Raena Rasmussen and Lisa Conlin as a soloist and company member.
She has grown her passion for dance, and especially ballet by traveling across the country to take summer intensives, workshops, and masterclasses from many renowned teachers. Rebecca is currently the lead ballet instructor at 5678! Dance Studio in McCook Lake, South Dakota and she continues sharing her passion by teaching workshops and choreographing at multiple studios. Rebecca is truly looking forward to her newest project of being the Artistic Director for the Siouxland Civic Dance Association.
